Soy Bean Burger | How To Make Soy Patties
Certain hunger pangs can only be solved by a good ol’ burger. All we need to do is veganize it!
The following recipe is vegan, healthy, and absolutely delicious! We have used a soybean pattie for this recipe, but if you’re looking for a smoky taste, try substituting the soybeans with mushrooms instead. Either way, you’ll love it!

INGREDIENTS:-
- 1 cup soybeans
- 1 cup boiled potatoes, mashed
- ¼ cup carrots
- ¼ cup peas
- 1 cup onions, finely chopped
- ½ tsp cumin
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp red chili powder or to taste
- ½ tbsp garlic powder
- Grounded black pepper to taste
- ¼ cup coriander leaves, finely chopped
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour / roasted gram flour
- 1 cup bread crumbs
INSTRUCTIONS:-
- Soak the soybeans in water for a minimum of 3 hours.
Boil the soaked beans for 15 minutes in a saucepan.
Drain out the water and grind the beans in a blender until they are thoroughly mashed. - Steam the potatoes, carrots, and peas until they turn soft and tender.
- In a mixing bowl, add the mashed potatoes, soy pulp, onions, garlic powder, salt, pepper, chili powder, and any other desired spices. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into the firm and evenly sized patties.
- Make a slurry by mixing the all-purpose flour/ roasted gram flour with water.
- Roll each patty in the slurry and then in the bread crumbs until evenly coated.
- Add a tablespoon of oil to a heated pan and fry the patties on medium heat until it turns golden–brown. Flip them over to the bottom and repeat.
